On the Sunday of the May Bank Holiday weekend (4th May 2008) is the return of the annual Mattersey Ten Open shoot.
This competition will include 1500, Multi Target and Timed & Precision matches for Gallery Rifles in both Full Bore and Small Bore, Long Barrelled Revolvers and Long Barrelled Pistols. For those with shotguns there will be a clay shoot and a speed steel event. Also being run are two (Target Pistol and Revolver) precision black powder matches. Depending on range space and range officer availibility there could be even more events. What better reason to volunteer your assistance even if only for an hour or so. Without the sterling work of the organisers and volunteer range crews, events such as this simply could not take place.

100 Yard Range
The bullet catcher on this range has got to a state where it needs to be cleaned. This will be done on the weekend of the 26th and 27th April. If you are available to help out please let us know.
PLEASE NOTE: If there are not enough people to help clear the 100 yard bullet catcher on these two days this range will be closed until the work has been completed.
Range Access
There will be improvement work being carried out on the road in to the range on 28th, 29th and 30th April. The club has the use of a machine which will be used in the main but there is still a need for people to help out.
