		CLUB COMPETITIONS Mattersey Rifle & Pistol Club organise club competitions throughtout the year. OPEN COMPETITIONS Mattersey Rifle & Pistol Club organise open competitions throughtout the year. The following events are not restricted to club members only: Mattersey Bianchi Match - 19^th September 2010: A Bianchi match including plates, practical etc. IMPORTANT NOTE: For those who have not visited the Mattersey Range Complex before, you should be aware that the ranges are of an outdoor nature. During summer they can be somewhat of a 'sun trap'. In bad weather they can be very wet with little shelter from the elements. Shooters are advised to arrive prepared for both eventualities, and bring appropriate clothing and boots. For competition disciplines involving sitting, kneeling or prone it is advisable to bring a shooting mat or similar. These are not available at the range and some disciplines may involve laying on sand and grass.It is also not advisable to wear yellow, due to a species of corn fly that is attracted to this colour.
